I help people make decisions through large scale analysis and by creating technology. As a Data Scientist, I specialize in the distillation of insight from large volumes of data and in the creation of intelligent systems to offer customized solutions. By my own definition, I study how to use what we have learned from the social sciences to collect and assess information about humans’ use of technology. I use these insights to build models, prototypes, and solutions. In my career, I have focused upon helping start-ups, small businesses, and enterprise level corporations achieve success. I have been interested in this since I was young. In my undergraduate career, where I studied quantitative Psychology and Marketing, I focused on blending science, technology, and business. My PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction further focused upon achieving harmony across these disciplines.
I’m interested in continuing to learn more about the learning sciences and technology fields. I want to hone this curiosity with increased professional experience. Now I am looking for opportunities that would allow me to continue to pursue my goal of building and improving learning systems. I am interested in connecting with like-minded professionals. I hope to help facilitate a professional sense of community focused on these ideals. To that end I am also interested in companies and academic institutions that are prioritize the creation of learning technologies. Such technologies help people to acquire new knowledge and help people to make decisions. My skills are necessarily broad given the context of these problems.
